Directorate of Printing

Directorate of Printing was set up in 1863 to cater to the printing needs of the Ministries and Departments of Government of India, Parliament, Election Commission and Delhi Administration. It prints all confidential and secret documents of the Government.

 

 

The Government of India Presses under the Directorate of Printing are under modernization / restructuring as per Government decision, through a process of merger / transfer / closure.

The Directorate is headed by Director of printing whose office is located at Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi.
