The Department is responsible for stocking, distribution, advertising, cataloguing and sale of Government publications including periodicals, Gazette of India and Delhi, Gazette of Ministries, attached and subordinate offices of Central government. The Department also handles Army publications and arranges sale and distribution of such publications as per instructions issued by the Defence Authorities.
